And like page rankings, the score of the domain authority is not set in stone when it’s calculated. It’s updated after some intervals. So it’s possible to increase your site’s domain authority. But one thing, don’t expect it to increase overnight. It takes time for Moz to re-crawl your site and re-calculate your ranking.

One of the factors that increase your DA score is that how many domains have linked back to you. These links are known as backlinks and the fun part is their no limit to it. You can have as many backlinks as you want. 

But here’s the catch to get a good score quality matters more than quantity. There can be sites that can give you backlinks but if the DA scores of those sites are low as well then it won’t amount much. So it’s best to strive for getting links from high authority sites. Also, make sure that those sites are relevant to your site if not they hold much value.

The quality of the contents of your site is also a very important factor when calculating the DA score. So it’s best that not only the content must be of high quality and unique but also be reader-friendly and relevant to your site. In other words they must not only be creative content but meaningful content as well.

# Site Optimization

The website must also be optimized and prepped accordingly as well. It must be checked whether it has any errors or are the media’s optimized or are the placements of the contents are organized while keeping the visitors and search engine algorithms in.

Also, the site must have a proper sitemap so that the bots can find every page more easily and don’t miss out on any pages as well.

As I have said it unreal to expect your score to sore up overnight. As the saying goes patience is bitter but its fruit is sweet. So it might take a while also might take some regular tinkering but you will there.
